Outside
Relief The Outside Relief program extends a measure of financial assistance to Masonic brothers and sisters who are experiencing financial difficulties as a result of unfortunate circumstances, such as a severe illness or injury. The program is specifically intended for people for whom residency at Masonic Pathways is not an appropriate option. Monthly payments of up to $300 are made to Outside Relief recipients with the approval of the Michigan Masonic Home Board of Trustees. The Masonic lodge or chapter of which the recipient is a member is responsible for a portion of the payment based upon its membership. A sponsoring lodge or chapter is required to complete an investigation and an application for each proposed recipient. Information and applications are available by contacting Don Pray, Masonic Pathways Associate Administrator, The Michigan Masonic Blue Book outlines the Outside Relief program beginning in Key 10-11 Section 1. It is recommended that chapter and lodge officers review this law prior to returning the application. |
