Outside Relief

The Outside Relief program extends financial assistance to Masonic brothers and sisters who are experiencing financial difficulties as a result of unfortunate circumstances, such as a severe illness or injury. The program is specifically intended for people for whom residency at Masonic Pathways is not an option.

Once approval is given by the Masonic Pathways Board of Trustees, monthly payments are made to Outside Relief recipients. The recipient’s Lodge or Chapter is responsible for a portion of the payment.

A sponsoring Lodge or Chapter is required to complete an investigation and an application for each proposed recipient.

The Michigan Masonic Blue Book outlines the Outside Relief program beginning in Key 10-11, section 1. It is recommended that officers of the sponsoring Lodge or Chapter review this section prior to returning the Outside Relief application.

Information and applications are available by contacting Don Pray, Chief Financial Officer, at 989-466-3811 or via email at dpray@masonicpathways.com.
